Notice/caution : adalah salah satu text fungsional yang berupa petunjuk agar seseorang melakukan atau tidak melakukan sesuatu. Notice/caution ini dapat berupa phrasa (gabungan kata), clausa (kalimat), atau berupa  gambar/tanda/sign. Warning : Larangan agar supaya seseorang tidak melakukan hal tersebut karena dianggap sangat berbahaya. Jadi, warning hampir sama seperti notice tapi tingkat bahayanya lebih tinggi dari notice. Sehingga larangannya bersifat lebih keras. Soal yang biasanya muncul dalam notice/caution: Function/purpose of the text ( fungsi / tujuan text ): –         What is the function of the text? –         What is the purpose of the notice? Functions of the notice: To give instruction/to instruct people: untuk memberi petunjuk. To give direction: untuk memberi arahan. To ask people to…: untuk meminta orang supaya….. To advice/to suggest/to recommend people to..: untuk menganjurkan orang supaya…… To remaind people

Procedure Text

A. Pengertian Procedure Text   “ Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps”.  Jadi yang dimaksud dengan procedure text adalah sebuah genre of text yang berfungsi untuk menggambarkan bagaimana sesuatu dilakukan atau dicapai melalui urutan tindakan atau langkah yang benar. B. Tujuan Procedure Text Tujuan komunikatif dari procedure text adalah bagaimana seorang penulis mampu memahamkan pembaca tentang cara melakukan, menyelesaikan atau mencapai sesuatu dengan cara yang runtut dan benar atau prosedural. Sebenarnya dilihat dari istilahnya, kita tentu sudah bisa memahami apa yang dimaksud dengan procedure text.
